We have some great events coming up this in February, starting with the Mill by Moonlight at Nottingham Light Night as well as science and baking activities during the school holidays.
Light Night – Mill by Moonlight
3rd & 4th Feb 2023, 4pm-8pm
FREE entry. No booking required. Suitable for all ages.
Explore Green’s Windmill and Science Centre after hours on this special open evening for Light Night. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to climb up the lit-in-multicolour windmill after darkness and a special treat awaits at the top – panoramic views of Nottingham City’s twinkling lights.
Festival of Science and Curiosity – Women in STEM
11th Feb 2023, 10am – 4pm
This fun and interactive day is suitable for all ages. It’s FREE to take part and there’s no need to book, just turn up.
As part of Nottingham’s Festival of Science and Curiosity join students from Nottingham Trent University’s Women in STEM group to learn about the stories of women in science and have a go at some exciting science activities.

This fun and interactive workshop is suitable for ages 3+. It’s FREE to take part and there’s no need to book, just turn up.
As part of Nottingham’s Festival of Science and Curiosity come and join scientists from Nottingham Trent University for ‘slimy science’, a drop-in workshop where you can learn how to make slime!
Children will be able to make their own slime and take some home with them. You will find out why things in nature are slimy, and what scientists at Nottingham Trent University are doing to discourage slimy pests from eating all of our lettuce.
