Nottingham Civic Society have kindly donated to us a large quantity of historical maps of the city and county. These reprints are a valuable resource for students of local history

At last we are reprinting all of George Green’s scientific papers. There will bethree volumes; one is the famous 1828 Essay on Electricity and Magnetism and the other two are all his other papers collected.

As has been noted before, teasing out the history of particular mills can be intriguing as they can change their names, be knocked down or otherwise destroyed and rebuilt or even be moved to new locations.
